Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 8 fresh basil leaves
  • 15 gram olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 10 gram Umami Flavour Booster
  • 2 baguettes (depending on the size)

Preparation method

  1. Cook 2.5 liters water in a large pan. Using a knife, cut a cross at the bottom of the tomatoes and cut out the crown at the top. Put the tomatoes in the water for 10 seconds and rinse them off with cold water.

  2. Remove the skin from the tomato. Cut the tomatos in 4 parts and remove the seeds. Cut into cubes.

  3. Finely chop the garlic.

  4. Put the tomato pieces, Umami Flavour Booster and the chopped garlic in a bowl and add a little olive oil.

  5. Finely chop the basil and spoon through the tomatoes.

  6. Cut the bread into slices and brush both sides with a little olive oil. Grill the bread crispy on both sides in a grill pan (or oven).

  7. Place them on a plate and spoon the bruschetta topping over them. Garnish with an extra basil leaf if necessary.
