Umami-Roasted Nuts & Seeds
An addictive nibble, these Umami-roasted nuts and seeds will keep guests satisfied from the red-carpet interviews all the way to the Best Picture award. Place small bowls of these fun treats throughout the room, and keep cocktail napkins handy.

Serves 4-6


3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons Taste5 Umami Vegetarian Paste
400g (14oz) / 1 3/4 cups unsalted mixed nuts and seeds


Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Whisk together the olive oil and umami paste and pour over the nuts and seeds. Stir together until they are all well coated.

Transfer onto a greased baking sheet and put in the oven.  Roast for 10 -15 minutes until the nuts and seeds have gone golden brown.  Be aware to keep an eye on them in the oven as the seeds can easily and quickly burn.

Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Store in an airtight container.
