Sweet Potato Fries

with Taste5 Rush

These "fries" are both addictive and healthy as they are "baked" which massively reduces the greasy fat factor. Slathered with olive oil and tossed with generous amounts of Taste5 Rush. We use this same technique with regular potatoes.


We have a trick that's a bit like twice frying – we parcook the potatoes in liberally salted water, plunge in an ice bath, then chill for 30 minutes in the fridge. Pat them dry and then toss in olive oil and seasoning and roast in a hot oven. This ensures that that are cooked through and get extra crispy without burning.


Serves 4-6


2 pounds sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Taste5 Rush
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


Heat the oven to 400˚F

Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into thick cut fries about 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches long, and toss them with olive oil

Combine Taste5 Rush, salt and pepper in a small bowl
Toss potatoes in to evenly coat with the seasoning mixture
Spread fries evenly on parchment lined baking sheets

Place in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes
Quickly toss around to ensure even browning on all sides
Bake for another 10 minutes
