RECIPE | Grilled Shrimp Cocktail with Taste5 Herb Sauce

Yogurt Marinated Chicken Skewers

with Taste5 Vegetarian

This easy preparation can be an appetizer, entree or delicious addition to grilled steak. We quick brine the shrimp, which caused them to plump up and cook beautifully in their shells. Serve with our 'sauce of summer' - Taste5 Herb Sauce.


Yield 6 Skewers


2 lbs of 8- to 12- count shell-on, tail-on shrimp
canola oil
olive oil

8 cups water
1/4 cup kosher salt
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 lemons, juiced
4 garlic cloves, peeled, and grated
3 cups ice

1 recipe Taste5 Herb Sauce


Before brining, pull off the legs and devein the shrimp leaving the shells intact

Combine all of the brine ingredients in a large bowl and stir to dissolve the salt and sugar
Juice the two lemons and add the juice and whole lemons to brine
Add the grated garlic and the ice.
Add the cleaned shrimp to the brine and refrigerate for 1 hour

Remove shrimp from the brine and pat dry
Toss the shrimp with a little canola oil to lightly coat

Heat grill to medium high
Brush the grate with a little oil
Place shrimp on the grill and cook for 4 minutes, flip and cook for another 4 minutes
Remove from grill and toss with splash of olive oil and a generous sprinkling of salt and freshly ground black pepper

Drizzle the shrimp with Taste5 Herb Sauce and serve!
